The Energiewende (German for energy transition) is a concept that describes the transition to a low carbon, sustainable, reliable, and affordable energy supply. In the not too distant future our energy systems will rely on renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy demand management. Dirty coal and oil fired generation will be retired.

We believe in Energiewende in the Canadian electricity system and understand that there is no single technology that will be a panacea for this transition, which is why we embrace a diversity of projects. We develop wind, solar, and hydroelectricity projects across Canada. To maximize the penetration of these projects, storage will be a key facilitator. We are exploring a number of storage projects, particularly in remote communities.
